This role is based remotely and the work will be performed in the Portland, OR or Seattle, WA metro areas. What You Will Do
Project Synthesis
– Develops and manages process for discovering client business needs and aligns with solutions; evaluates projects and aligns process/solutions; works directly and indirectly with clients on projects to confirm structured finance solution(s); client discovery and qualification; works directly with client executives to develop financial pro forma and associated business case(s); converts leads into opportunities by identifying the necessary project team and next steps. Energy Services Project Strategy
– Understand macro market and finance trends to inform offerings; engage clients to establish creative financial solutions; collaborate with regional sales and leadership to develop and optimize strategies on priority projects; stay abreast of current finance trends and apply to projects; maintain market-oriented external relationships to support offerings; establish and advance Trane’s thought leadership; work with clients to establish indicators to tailor offerings and identify and close large deals; provide knowledge on financial drivers, legislation and requirements for energy and outcome-based sales. Regional Engagement
– Maintain active relationships with regional energy services sales leaders and CSAEs; grow pipeline and project size with creative structured finance approaches; maintain a visible sales/project funnel using software tools; collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system-related solutions including financial and performance-based considerations; travel to customer job sites as required, with potential exposure to outdoor conditions and mechanical environments. What You Will Bring
A bachelor’s degree or 4-8 years of demonstrated executive selling experience is preferred. 5+ years of executive sales experience, preferably in MUSH markets (municipal, utility, healthcare, education) with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets. Experience in financial sales with long, complex, multi-tiered sales cycles in public and/or private sectors. Ability to engage multiple stakeholders, influencers, and key decision makers. Expertise in financial, legal, and technical aspects of deal structuring with multiple buying influences. Outstanding communication skills to educate clients about Trane’s offerings and articulate costs, savings, and long-term options for infrastructure renewal and decarbonization. Driver license in good standing; valid in-state with no major violations in the prior 3 years (within 1 year required). Total Target Compensation range: $110,000 to $225,000+ with commission plans; compensation may vary by region and other factors.
