Event Marketing Manager, Marcom Contractor Location: Remote

Role Details:

Contract: ASAP – July 31, 2026

Hours: 25-30 hours/week Start ASAP - Dec, 40 hours/week Jan - July 31

Renewal: Hiring manager wants someone who would want to support for full year and is open to this being an ongoing role

As an Event Marketing Contractor at Databricks, you will report to the Marketing Communications Event Manager and work with the corporate event marketing team and partners to support the marcom workstreams for Data + AI Summit and the World Tour programs. This position is open to remote work.

The impact you will have:

Structured and thorough project plans for the Marcom workstream focused on Marcom content writing and strategy

Strategic analysis of Marcom channel performance and use data to drive overall Marcom content strategy

Partnership with cross-functional global teams, marketing and other promotional channel stakeholders to build a roadmap for workstream content deliverable timelines and expectations

Complete plan for timely internal communications related to your workstreams (project plans, logistics, DACI, briefs, meeting notes, etc.)

Utilization of the best program technology, materials, and systems to advance workstream content management

Support the team to exceed program goals including registration/attendance, engagement, streamlined workstream plans and more

What we look for Technical POC:

5+ years of experience designing, building, and executing end-to-end email promotion programs for events, including audience segmentation, dynamic content development, A/B testing, performance analysis, and integration with event platforms like Rainfocus for campaign management and data reporting

Hands-on experience creating and managing email campaigns directly in event platforms such as Rainfocus (required), with knowledge of Swoogo and other tools preferred

Proven ability to work independently and juggle multiple content and campaign priorities under tight timelines

Skilled in segmenting audiences, crafting targeted messaging, and optimizing email cadence to enhance event promotion and attendee engagement

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence in leading discussions and high-visibility team meetings

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to managing projects in a fast-paced environment

Proven track record of executing large Demand Generation campaigns from start to finish with a focus on refining and customizing the user experience

Comfortable working with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail), MS Excel, and Mac systems

Strong analytical mindset; enjoys diving into data to measure email performance and identify insights tied to event success

Experience using Asana for project management, with familiarity in Salesforce, Databricks AI/BI, and Swoogo as a plus
