As a member of Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) team, you’ll be part of a global government affairs team, working across regions, product areas, and functions. You’ll manage campaigns, projects and initiatives, advocate for Google, and bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction. You’re passionate about shaping the future of how we use and build technology for everyone. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of the company's PAC and political giving activities at the federal and state level. You will work with other GAPP team members to ensure the political giving program advances the company\'s external relationships and public policy priorities. You will also support the development and execution of strategic advocacy initiatives in Texas, leveraging your understanding of politics, policy, and state-level organizations to align with US and Texas policy priorities. Google engages with government and other stakeholders on important public policy challenges. The GAPP team leads the company’s engagement with officials, regulators and third-parties in the formation of public policy. The team identifies policy issues, considers external views, and shares Google’s perspective with external stakeholders. Our focus includes internet-related challenges and other policy areas where public policy, business, and technology intersect. Base salary in the US for this full-time role is $138,000-$202,000 plus bonus, equity and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. Your recruiter can share the specific range for your location during hiring. Compensation details reflect base salary; bonuses, equity and benefits are separate. Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact and administrator for the company\'s PAC and political giving program. Develop and implement a strategic political giving plan that supports the company\'s legislative and regulatory priorities. Manage all aspects of PAC and political giving administration, including budgeting, vendor management, expenditures, and internal communications. Ensure the program is in full compliance with federal, state, and local campaign finance laws and regulations (e.g., FEC, state ethics commissions). Support complex strategic advocacy initiatives in Texas and select other US states. Develop and implement strategies to increase fundraising and employee participation. Organize and execute internal fundraising events and campaigns. Minimum qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent practical experience. 7 years of experience working on public policy issues within political campaigns, government, think tanks or industry associations, consulting, or corporate government affairs. Experience developing and executing strategies and working with groups of internal and external stakeholders to manage projects. Preferred qualifications

Experience with political giving or fundraising. Experience with Internet and technology policy. Experience as a leader and collaborator with effective analytical and communications skills. Ability to integrate public policy with business strategy and corporate development. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing environment. EEO and accommodations
