Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr Austin, Texas, United States. This is an onsite role. Role summary
The Investor Relations Associate will get to know every active investor in Texas and help facilitate millions in venture capital funding by connecting our portfolio founders to angels and venture investors. You will execute key Investor Relations programs including Investor Office Hours, help portfolio startups understand fundraising options and access IR resources, onboard new investors into our community, and assist with the launch of new IR initiatives. You will use Capital Factory's network of active investors and proprietary software tools to curate matches between investors and founders. This role offers exposure to a high-volume venture capital environment. Responsibilities
Make valuable introductions between founders and investors when there is mutual interest. Serve as the primary point-of-contact for investors, sharing relevant startups, events, and opportunities, and tracking their engagement. Organize office hours, in-person and virtual, for investors to meet with portfolio founders. Network with venture capitalists and angel investors to establish deal flow relationships. Attend events with investors and introduce new portfolio companies. Take calls and meetings with investors to understand their investment thesis and suitable company introductions. Make over a dozen curated introductions between investors and portfolio founders daily. Attend weekly Ventures Team Sync, Investor Relations Sync and other relevant meetings; attend monthly First Look events. What success looks like
Founders have an exceptional experience and gain meaningful value from investor connections. Investor Office Hours program grows with high utilization. Investors rave about the startups they meet. Build strong relationships with VIP stakeholders and regularly receive introductions to new investors. Assigned tasks are completed timely with minimal errors; team trusts you to execute independently. Maintain productive, collaborative relationships with internal teams (Mentor, Venture Programs, Ops). About You
Experience with the startup and technology markets. Basic understanding of startup funding terms, options, and mechanisms. Data-driven mindset to understand problems and make connections. Organized, plans ahead, and adaptable under change; able to handle last-minute shifts. Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail; deliver high-quality work on time in a dynamic environment. Willingness to work at least 45 hours per week. Plans to stay in Texas and commit to this position for 2+ years. About Our Team
