Overview
Principal Cybersecurity Architect - USA Remote. This role is within the Danaher Corporate Information Security team, reporting to the Director of Architecture Engineering and Operations. This is a Danaher Corporate role and it will be fully remote. What you will have the opportunity to do
Develop comprehensive security architectures for applications, data pipelines, and critical business systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and security best practices. Conduct risk validation and threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities in software, data sets, and supporting infrastructure. Develop mitigation plans for threats such as data tampering, adversarial attacks, and data breaches. Establish and maintain security policies, protocols, and standards for development and deployment environments. Integrate robust security measures into the organization’s broader cybersecurity framework. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including development, data science, DevOps, legal, compliance and AI teams—to embed security throughout the solution lifecycle, from data collection to deployment and monitoring. Select and implement security tools and automation technologies for enterprise environments, such as monitoring systems for anomaly detection and automated vulnerability scans. Essential Requirements
5+ years of progressive experience in designing secure on-premises, cloud and hybrid architectures workloads. Deep understanding of cryptographic techniques, secure data storage, and secure communications relevant to systems. Hands-on knowledge of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response related to AI/ML environments. Demonstrated expertise in AI and machine learning security, including knowledge of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response as they relate to advanced environments—including large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and agentic AI systems. Ability to script and automate tasks (using Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) for environment monitoring and security enforcement. Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience implementing security for large-scale AI projects in cloud-native or hybrid environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and knowledge of AI governance, SPM and DSPM concepts, ethical frameworks, and responsible AI principles. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are a plus. Travel, Driver’s License & Physical/Environment Requirements
Ability to travel globally around 15% to 20% of the time, overnight. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Remote Work & Compensation
This position is eligible for remote work from your home. The annual salary range is $175,000 to $200,000. This range is in good faith and may be modified in the future.
