Job Summary
Mammography Technologist (DRT – Mammography) Location:

as needed Compensation:
$60.00/hr plus $5.09 for Health and Wellness Position Overview
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography, special views, and needle localizations while ensuring compliance with
ACR ,
MQSA , and VA quality control standards. Responsibilities
Conduct screening and diagnostic mammograms, magnification views, and assist with localizations.
Uphold stringent
QC
schedules (daily/weekly/monthly/qtr/annual) and document per
ACR
and VHA directives; initiate corrective actions for deviations.
Prepare patients, verify histories, educate on procedures; ensure comfort, privacy, and safety.
Optimize positioning and compression to achieve diagnostic image quality with minimal dose.
Transmit studies to
PACS ; complete documentation in
VistA/CPRS ; support peer review.
Collaborate on workflow improvements and compliance audits; familiarity with QA platforms (e.g.,
MagView
preferred).
Qualifications
ARRT (R)
and
ARRT (M) ;
California
licenses in Radiography and Mammography.
2+ years
full-time, current mammography experience within the last
3 years .
Strong QC/MQSA background;
BLS ; PACS/EMR proficiency.
