Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement. The Telemetry Medical Surgical department strives to provide competent and safe care to patients admitted for acute nursing interventions of 24 hours or more. Our highly trained and professional staff treats people recovering from serious illness requiring telemetry monitoring, oncology treatment, orthopedic and major surgeries. Medication and treatments are provided in a warm and caring environment that facilitates swift recovery. Responsibilities
Assist with a wide variety of nursing care duties and procedures in the Telemetry Medical Surgical department. Provide warm, compassionate patient care and support effective communication with patients, families and the health care team. Collaborate in a team-oriented atmosphere to contribute to a healthier Hawai‘i. Location

No Minimum Qualifications
High school or equivalent. Completion of nurse aide course with certification OR completion of nursing fundamentals OR RN certificate from a foreign country OR military corpsman certificate OR successful completion of an EMT or MICT training program OR successful completion of HPH Nurse Aide Program. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life (BLS) CPR card. Preferred Qualifications
Current Hawai‘i CNA certificate. One (1) year clinical experience.
