Archaeology Program Coordinator (Contractual)

Responsibilities
Conduct field and lab work for internally and externally funded archaeological projects
Supervise and train student employees in the field and lab
Prepare archaeological reports of investigations for project sponsors and regulatory agencies
Monitor project budgets and process financial transactions
Collect and provide data related to projects as needed for reporting, marketing, and dissemination activities
Develop resources and support materials for projects
Maintain project specific GIS databases
Qualifications and Skills Required Qualifications:
Graduate degree in archeology, anthropology, or closely related field
At least one year of full-time professional experience or equivalent specialized training in archeological research, administration, or management
At least four months of supervised field and analytic experience in general North American archeology
Demonstrated ability to carry research to completion
Ability to teach introductory level archaeology courses
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Strong communication, organization, and writing skills
Strong collaborative skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and GIS software
Supervisory experience in cultural resource management
Ability to write technical reports and program documents
Ability to teach occasional upper-level archaeology course in candidate’s area of expertise
