Advanced Imaging I use equipment to visualize internal structures, blood flow and obtain measurements. Follow the guiding bodies for imaging accreditation: American College of Radiology (ACR) and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). In Radiology settings, ACR is followed; in Cardio-Vascular Ultrasound settings, IAC is followed. Perform Cardio-Vascular Sonographer practices following protocols as prescribed by the Cardio-Vascular Medical Director. Practice Advanced Imaging I protocols and techniques as prescribed by the Imaging Medical Director; operate within credentialed scope with a valid physician’s order. Complete exams under physician supervision per protocol using diagnostic criteria and document results in PACS. Promote smooth and efficient operation of the Imaging Department through proper clerical functions, document handling, and interdepartmental communication. Meet all requirements set forth by applicable accreditation and governing bodies (ICAEL, ICAVL, ACR, JCAHO, federal and state requirements). Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. Education and Work Experience
Proof of completion of an AAS or equivalent program required. Graduation from an accredited program with clinical experience required. Registered and/or certified by ARDMS, ARRT, CCI, ARMRIT, CNMT, MQSA credential required. License required if required by state. Current and valid BLS (AHA) certification required. Previous experience in performing imaging on patients of all ages, especially hospital-based experience preferred. Employment Status
