E.L.I.'s House
E.L.I.’s House is a faith-based residential program dedicated to equipping women and their children to thrive after trauma. Through education, therapy, parent coaching, life skills, and community support, we empower families to find healing and independence in a Christ-centered environment. We are preparing for a new season of growth, including the expansion to a second property to serve five additional families and the launch of a social enterprise to create sustainable jobs for our moms.
Position Overview The Director of Development & Marketing
is responsible for leading all fundraising, donor relations, and marketing efforts to advance the mission of E.L.I.’s House. This leader will develop and execute strategies to grow financial support, increase brand visibility, and build meaningful partnerships.
The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller, an experienced fundraiser, and a collaborative leader who thrives in a faith-based, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy (major gifts, events, grants, and recurring giving).
Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
Oversee donor stewardship processes to ensure consistent communication and appreciation.
Research and write grant proposals; manage grant reporting requirements.
Lead annual fundraising events and campaigns with excellence.
Marketing & Communications
Create and execute a marketing strategy that raises awareness of E.L.I.’s House.
Oversee storytelling, branding, and messaging across all platforms (website, social media, newsletters, print).
Collaborate with staff to share impact stories in a way that honors confidentiality and dignity.
Manage media relations and represent E.L.I.’s House at community events.
Ensure consistent visual and brand identity across all channels.
Organizational Leadership
Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors on strategic growth initiatives.
Provide development and marketing updates to the board regularly.
Supervise development/marketing interns, volunteers, or contractors as needed.
Model and uphold the faith-based mission and values of E.L.I.’s House.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or marketing (nonprofit experience strongly preferred).
Proven track record in major gifts, campaigns, or grant writing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent storyteller.
Proficiency in donor database management, CRM tools (Virtuous), and digital marketing platforms.
Experience in planning and executing fundraising events.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Alignment with the mission, vision, and faith-based values of E.L.I.’s House.
Salary commensurate with experience.
