Overview

Director Communications and Community Engagement role at HCA Healthcare, based at Sunrise Hospital. The position sits on the hospital’s administrative leadership team and supports promotion of the HCA Healthcare family of brands and the Division’s growth agenda. The role involves developing and executing communications and community engagement plans for the local market, aligning with Division and Corporate objectives, and collaborating with stakeholders to engage the community and drive positive patient interactions. Major Responsibilities

Communications

Bridge enterprise brand narrative with market/hospital brand to highlight the value of being part of the broader organization. Assist CEO and other officers with communication needs including messaging related to colleague engagement. Support development and implementation of the strategic PR and Communications plan to meet organizational needs and support hospital business and growth goals. Develop content to drive engagement across owned, earned and paid media channels. Pitch compelling stories to local media outlets. Manage crisis communications and serve as an on-call public information representative. Stay abreast of hospital news, trends, services and objectives. Act as a local advocate for adherence to marketing and communications policies in partnership with the Facility Ethics and Compliance Officer. Monitor patient comments and reviews to provide timely responses and service recovery for negative comments/reviews.

Community Engagement

Convey Enterprise, Group and Division community engagement strategies to facility leadership. Drive engagement programs to heighten the hospital’s positive reputation within the community. Support strategy for the hospital’s Board of Trustees regarding composition and engagement. Identify meaningful healthcare-related community activities in the service area that complement organizational goals. Coordinate events and programs with Division and hospital goals to raise awareness of the hospital’s capabilities and strengths. Support colleague community engagement, including giving campaigns, volunteering and board service in collaboration with Human Resources.

Marketing

Communicate Enterprise, Group and Division marketing strategies to facility leadership. Provide facility insights to feed Division/regional marketing plans, including access to service line leaders and other key leaders. Lead local brand management to educate and engage stakeholders on brand strategies and logo usage. Partner with Division to activate local marketing and brand strategies. Support marketing tactics for Physician & Provider Relations needs. Assist with Division/Corporate growth agenda. Collaborate with Marketing Services Organization to develop content and manage hospital collateral items.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required 1+ year of experience in a management role required 5+ years of experience in a related position/field required Benefits
