The Ameriprise Financial Leadership Development Program (LDP) is an 18-month experiential commitment designed to cultivate your business knowledge, offer on-the-job training, and provide exposure to senior leaders through three, 6-month rotations. Participants work in a team-based, inclusive environment and have access to Business Resource Networks (including the Black Employee Network, Young Professionals Network, and PRIDE Network) to support development and belonging. Program Structure

Rotations across key Marketing and Communications areas Opportunity to post to a permanent position within Ameriprise Financial after exploring the business units 2025 Ameriprise Financial and Columbia Threadneedle Investments interns will be given preferred consideration. If not all approved positions are filled, the requisition may reopen for qualified applicants. Key Responsibilities

When rotating through the Marketing team, promote, strengthen, and advocate for the Ameriprise brand, business interests, and reputation; assigned projects may include: Help advisors build their practices by providing programs and communications that help them acquire, retain, and deepen client relationships Project support for marketing programs or initiatives, including developing status reports to track usage, results, and issues Managing project implementation plans for specific marketing efforts Supporting communications, training, and marketing efforts to drive marketing strategies and sales objectives As the Marketing and Communications LDP, support the Corporate Communications team, responsible for internal communications to 20,000+ employees and financial advisors, as well as public relations and shareholder communications; responsibilities vary by rotation and may include: Consult with business partners across and outside the company to deliver strategic messages via intranets, public-facing websites, presentations, speeches, videos, and other outlets Provide communications support through project management Writing, editing, and distributing various employee and advisor communications Assisting with public relations programs, coordinating media interviews, and distributing press releases Examples of Past LDP Projects Developed and executed a communications plan for a new financial client tool launch Led a project to gather insights through research to improve client acquisition and retention Created thematic social media post series for advisors to engage clients and prospects Qualifications

Required:

Current senior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Business Administration/Management, or related field Graduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026 Commitment to complete the full 18-month Leadership Development Program Preferred:

High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics Proven organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to work and communicate collaboratively with all levels of the organization Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite The company does not offer sponsorship for this opportunity. Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base salary for this role is $62,000.00, with a pay-for-performance philosophy. Total compensation may vary by knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Most roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonuses or incentives. A comprehensive benefits program includes vacation, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental, and life insurances.
