Recruitment Number 25-0313. This vacancy is with the Department of Human Resources Development, Employee Claims Division, Safety/Return to Work Branch. The branch is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the return-to-work process of injured employees and overseeing safety procedures for the State. The position serves as a subject matter expert for the State’s in-house Return to Work Priority Program (RTWPP), facilitating placement of injured employees on light duty or permanent placement.
Salary and Recruitment Salary: $6,043 to $7,351 per month (SR-24, Step D to I). Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant"s qualifications, and other relevant factors. Minimum Qualifications Basic Education/Experience:
A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
Specialized Experience:
Three and one-half years of professional work experience in one or any combination of human resources management functions, i.e., recruitment, placement, examination, position classification, pay or wage administration, employee management relations and services, employee development, human resources program development and services, labor relations, and human resources research.
Selective Certification—Recruitment and/or Examination Experience:
Of the required years of human resources management work experience for the class, one (1) year which involved the recruitment and/or examination of civil service positions in the State of Hawaii or local government jurisdictions.
Supervisory Aptitude:
Supervisory aptitude rather than actual supervisory experience may be accepted. This requirement will be considered to have been met when there is strong affirmative evidence of the necessary supervisory abilities and/or potential.
Driver’s License:
Some positions require possession of a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment. This vacancy has this requirement.
