The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for assisting in delivering specified business targets (volume, profit, share) through the development and execution of all brand strategies and plans, leading to profitable growth. As a cross-functional team leader, the role works across disciplines and sustains strong relationships with external partners to execute brand strategies. Responsibilities
Assist in the development and implementation of short and long-term marketing objectives and strategies. Lead the development and execution of brand plans and tactics to deliver brand, business and financial goals. Assist Brand Manager and Consumer Insights team in brand strategy, consumer segmentation, targeting and positioning. Ensure qualitative and quantitative research supports brand success. Participate in the creative development process and execution of national and local advertising campaigns. Assist in development of TV, radio, print, outdoor, trade and alternative media advertising. Lead day-to-day brand budget management including PO and invoice processing. Maintain budgets and forecasts monthly; collaborate with Finance for forecast accuracy. Lead brand business analysis with the Business Analysis Team. Monitor performance to ensure alignment with goals and use internal/external data to identify issues and opportunities. Work with the Business Analysis and Finance team to measure sales impact, wholesaler execution and ROI of marketing expenditures. Assist Brand Manager and Media Planning team in development of media plans for national and regional/local levels. Assist Brand Manager with Retail/Trade Marketing to develop brand promotions and national/local consumer promotions at retail. Assist in development of Permanent and Non-permanent Point-Of-Sale Programs and premium brand materials. Assist in identifying and developing event marketing programming, including sponsored events and charitable donations. Assist in rolling out brand guidelines and opening hospitality locations. Collaborate with luxury events team on event strategy and execution for events and auctions. Coordinate with DTC team (Hospitality, eCommerce, Wine Club) for consistent programming across DTC channels. Partner with eCommerce team to meet brand standards for online activities. Maintain clear communication of marketing programming with internal and external partners (Field Sales, Management, Corporate Communications). Participate in market visits and assist in planning and review meetings. Use competitive, category and consumer insights to validate and optimize concepts for growth and objectives. Support day-to-day budget management and ensure expenditures align with budgetary parameters. Prepare material for executive updates, internal/external meetings, and Stage Gate meetings as required. Participate in market visits as required. Key Success Factors
Exposure to brand strategy development including consumer segmentation, targeting, positioning and brand architecture. Exposure to the annual brand planning process. Strong analytical skills using trend analysis and research to generate actionable insights. Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to influence cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills to present strategies to management and sales teams. Positive, proactive attitude with strong interpersonal skills for interactions with senior management, field personnel, wholesalers and suppliers. Experience with creative briefs, agency collaboration, and evaluation of creative work in line with brand strategy. Strong project management with ability to manage complex priorities and budgets toward results. Ability to manage expectations of supervisors and agency partners; persuasive when needed. Open, honest communication while handling confidential information. Clear, succinct written and verbal communication; comfortable with ambiguity. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Management, or related field Progressive CPG experience with 3–5 years of brand management, or 1–2 years with an MBA; beverage industry exposure a plus Professional maturity Excellent organization and project management skills Strong writing, presentation and verbal communication skills Strong commercial/financial acumen with P&L experience Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multi-agency partners Passion for the alcohol industry Physical Requirements / Other
Able to lift 40 lbs on occasion Office environment; ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods; accommodations available for disabilities Travel up to 30%; flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required in a hospitality-oriented wine industry Must have a valid U.S. Passport Location
