Position Summary
Full time 40 hours per week Monday - Friday First Shift: 6AM-2:00PM Location: on site, Indianapolis 46219
A BRIEF OVERVIEW: The general maintenance worker is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on facility plumbing, electric, heating and cooling, and other building systems. They should feel confident prioritizing assigned work orders, documenting completed tasks, and coordinating with maintenance management to reduce downtime.
Essential Function: Acts as a top-level specialist to deliver support for the Maintenance area under limited supervision, referring deviations from standard practices to managers. Perform all tasks in accordance to all OSHA and Facility safety guidelines. Inspects assets according to preventive maintenance schedules. Performs basic repairs that do not require specialized technicians. Examples may include painting, repairing fixtures, and fixing basic building system breakdowns. Tracks, orders, and restocks supplies needed for O&M. Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair. Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage. Basic Electrical knowledge. Collaborates with the maintenance team and contractors as needed. Maintain PIT Batteries and Charging Systems. Various field-related tasks as directed by Management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read, write and count accurately. Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required, to include shift rotation. Ability to work safely with and around operating mechanical systems. Ability to work within a team atmosphere. Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems. Ability to be trained in Lock-out Tag-out procedures as an Authorized user. Working knowledge of problem solving and decision-making skills.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience.
Education High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 - $28.46 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
