Physician Assistant

to join our established

General Surgery

team to work collaboratively with a team of providers. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care under the supervision and collaboration of the general surgery team. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient management, assisting in surgical procedures, performing pre- and post-operative evaluations, and providing continuity of care to optimize patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments, physical exams, and history-taking Assist surgeons in the operating room, including first-assist duties Manage inpatient rounds, progress notes, and discharge planning Provide outpatient care, including pre-op evaluations, post-op follow-ups, and minor procedures Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging studies Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state licensure and hospital policies Collaborate with surgeons, residents, nursing staff, and ancillary services to ensure coordinated patient care Educate patients and families regarding surgical care plans, recovery, and health maintenance Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school Physician Assistant National board certification with NCCPA Surgical or acute care experience preferred Unrestricted Texas Medical License and DEA At least two (2) years of experience required Must be current in BLS and ACLS certification Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Continuing education allowance 403(b) retirement plan with employer match The chance to work with top-notch healthcare professionals If you are a dedicated and experienced PA who is passionate about being a part of a respected healthcare system with deep roots to the Mansfield community, we encourage you to apply.
