Overview
General Description and Classification Standards: Reporting to the Airport Assistant General Manager of Aeronautical Revenue Development & Management, this role oversees multiple business units, including (without limitation) commercial property management, airline affairs, and compliance. This position is responsible for the day-to-day direction and strategic planning of assigned units; allocates and manages budgeted resources; establishes processes and procedures to maintain efficiency in the various commercial units; is a significant contributor in developing Airport policy and Airport strategic plans. Supervision
Under the direction of the Assistant General Manager, this position requires work to be completed independently with minimum supervision. Direction received focuses on strategic objectives and is typically collaborative in nature. This makes policy recommendations and would be considered “upper-middle” management. Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in airport management, business administration, or related area. Minimum of five years of applicable work experience in airport/airline affairs, airport commercial property management, or related area. Preferred Requirements
Airport Accredited Executive (AAE) is highly preferred. Essential Capabilities and Work Environment
Required physical, lifting, and sensory capabilities are requirements to perform the job successfully. Typical environmental conditions associated with job. Work Environment
Physical lifting and sensorial capabilities are required to perform this job successfully. The position requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting of 10+ pounds frequently. The position requires climbing, balancing, crouching, crawling or the use of stairs and ladders frequently. The position requires reaching/working overhead never or occasionally. This position requires the ability to work in inclement weather and in varying temperatures. The position may require the ability to work in a confined space. Lifting Requirements
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. Work Schedule
This position follows the City’s hybrid work schedule policy as assigned by the Department of Human Resources Commissioner and requires in-person work at City worksites/facilities at least four (4) days per week, with the option to work remotely one (1) day per week, based on eligibility, departmental needs, and supervisor approval. The hybrid work schedule is subject to change at any time to five (5) days in-person work.
