About the Director of Insights – Mixed Methods
As a Director of Insights, you will lead and successfully deliver multiple research and insights engagements at a time. You will act as a thought partner to junior to senior-level clients, crafting insights and developing actionable and provocative recommendations, while maintaining trusted relationships. You will also unlock organic growth by fostering ongoing relationships and repeat clients. Specific responsibilities include methodology recommendations and engagement design, content and questionnaire development, managing internal and external project members through data collection, field management, data processing, analysis and reporting, and collaborating with internal cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work. Insights responsibilities include translating data into learnings, integrated visual stories and comprehensive narratives that establish impactful and strategic recommendations, with potential Senior Team/Leader oversight. You will establish, support and build relationships with junior to senior-level Insights, Marketing, and cross-functional client stakeholders. You will mentor, coach, and delegate appropriate work to Associates and Sr. Associates (US and India based) and Associate Directors, sharing responsibility for their growth and training roadmaps. Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree in a related field preferred.
7+ years of custom primary research experience (quantitative and mixed methods).
Prior experience managing and leading others as a people manager is a plus.
Strong analytic and storytelling skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
Expertise in a range of research methodologies, including survey design, advanced analytics, and integration of quantitative and qualitative findings.
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience mentoring and developing junior researchers.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex insights to diverse audiences including senior-level stakeholders.
Strong client management and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams and manage relationships with external vendors.
Demonstrated curiosity, willingness to learn, openness to sharing, and applying feedback.
Adaptability to new methodologies and technologies in the market.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data collection, analysis and reporting.
Technical proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Team player with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Additional skills for success: critical thinking, strategic thinking, project management, problem identification focused on solutions and Point of View (POV), ability to learn and adapt to cutting-edge technologies, and issue de-escalation and solutioning.
