Reading Interventionist (SY 2025-2026) at The Community Group — Community Day Charter Public School (CDCPS) seeks a passionate educator with strong academic background to support reading instruction and intervention across our schools in Lawrence, MA, serving 1,200 pre-kindergarten to 8th-grade students. CDCPS is committed to a rigorous, student-centered academic program while investing in students’ social, emotional, and holistic well-being. CDCPS has dedicated teams to support teachers and student success. CDCPS teachers are engaged in providing reading instruction and intervention with a high-quality, rigorous curriculum. They participate in ongoing professional development to incorporate the latest social-emotional, culturally responsive, and pedagogical practices, continually improving their skills. Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

Teach reading instruction in small groups and one-on-one settings Implement instructional strategies that promote student growth Collaborate with grade-level and content teams, Directors of Curriculum & Instruction, and Heads of Schools to develop and implement high-quality instructional materials Monitor student progress and assess students as needed Create a safe, equitable, and inclusive learning environment while applying research-based curricula and social-emotional strategies to support the holistic child Use formative and summative data to determine students\' needs and create action plans for success in collaboration with grade level and administrative teams Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues Attend key whole-school events (e.g., Back to School Nights, Family Conferences) Participate in two-week summer training and a year-long professional development series during early release days Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications

Uphold a passionate belief in CDCPS\' mission, values, and educational model Bachelor’s Degree required Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred Ability to collaborate in planning and problem-solving Excellent verbal and written communication skills Flexibility, patience, and sense of humor Knowledge of and experience with developmentally appropriate strategies Ability to obtain licensure and pass all required MTELs as an Elementary School Teacher or Reading Interventionist within a year of employment CDCPS participates in the E-Verify program to determine work eligibility CDCPS is affiliated with The Community Group (TCG), which is committed to equal employment opportunity and a nondiscriminatory work environment Equal Opportunity Statement
