Our client, a national engineering firm with expertise in civil and structural engineering, geospatial, safety, and environmental services, is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer for their North Carolina office. The firm has a broad client base and operates across the U.S. and internationally.
The ideal candidate will bring innovative solutions, a professional attitude, and a strong professional network, particularly with experience in North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) projects. This role requires independent work and collaboration skills, with a focus on visionary thinking and analytical problem-solving.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
P.E. license in North Carolina.
10-20 years of experience in transportation and roadway design.
5 years of project management experience preferred.
Required experience with NCDOT design projects.
Proficiency in Micro Station and Geopak design software.
Responsibilities
Design tasks for roadway projects from preliminary to final design.
Develop specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages.
Provide design services for both traditional and design-build transportation projects.
Mentor junior engineers.
Coordinate design activities with various teams.
Manage project schedules and budgets.
Participate in transportation-related organizations.
