Job Title: Construction Field Manager – Wireless Telecommunications
(this position is for commercial tower telecommunication construction - not residential)
Location: Houston, TX – possible 50% travel to job sites across the region
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Field Manager to oversee wireless telecommunications tower construction projects, with a strong emphasis on cell tower builds and raw land development. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage field operations, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and drive project timelines to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day field operations for wireless construction projects, including new cell tower builds, modifications, and raw land site development.
Supervise subcontractors and crews to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Conduct site walks, pre-construction meetings, and quality inspections.
Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables.
Monitor project progress, resolve field issues, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Ensure that field crews have all materials, tools and equipment, and assist them on an as-needed basis
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
Travel to job sites up to 50% of the time to oversee construction activities and support field teams.

Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in wireless telecommunications construction, with a focus on cell tower construction and raw land development.
Proven ability to manage multiple field crews and subcontractors across various locations.
The ideal candidate will have prior AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile/Sprint, and/or Dish experience
Must have prior cellular construction experience with the ability to supervise multiple crews
Experience dealing with cellular customer close-out packages (COPs)
Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment used in telecom infrastructure.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and specifications.
Proficiency in project management tools and reporting software.
Must possess strong analytical skills and acute attention to detail
Strong organizational, problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently.
