A prominent and growing personal injury law firm in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking a self-motivated bilingual Pre-Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will manage personal injury cases from inception through settlement, including negotiating with insurance companies and working with clients to ensure fair compensation. This role may involve leading a team of attorneys and case managers, with a focus on achieving favorable settlements in cases involving wrongful death, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), catastrophic injuries, and major orthopedic settlements. Newport Beach, CA Duties
Manage personal injury cases from inception through settlement Analyze client cases, reviewing medical records, police reports, and other relevant evidence Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters, defense attorneys, and third parties Prepare and draft demand letters, settlement offers, and other legal correspondence Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them updated on case progress and settlement opportunities Collaborate with experts, such as medical professionals and accident reconstructionists, to support case development Ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements throughout the settlement process Assist senior attorneys with litigation strategy when necessary Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and valid California Bar license (Required) 2+ years of experience handling personal injury cases, with a focus on settlement negotiations (Required) Proven ability to successfully negotiate personal injury settlements (Required) Strong understanding of personal injury law, insurance policies, and client advocacy (Required) Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required) Highly organized with the ability to manage a significant caseload (Required) Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team (Required) Strong client service orientation and compassionate approach to helping clients (Required) Education
