4270 Ranch Road 1, Stonewall, Texas 78671 The Music Director shall further the mission of connecting people to Jesus by providing services that support the worship life of those gathering. The director shall be committed to Trinity being a place where the growth of God’s kingdom and the reflection of His glory is paramount. The Music Director will work close with the Worship Committee and Pastor. Term of Employment : Part-time position. Position is considered “at will” in nature. Primary areas of responsibility are: Worship Planning Assist in the worship planning and presentation of all music at worship services, traditional and contemporary, in cooperation with the pastors and the Worship Committee Choir Director - Provide leadership of the choir and its role of assisting in worship. Schedule Choral music, rehearsals Praise Team - Prepare, Equip and Facilitate Praise Team for contemporary service. Piano / Organist - Schedule and communicate with Organist and Piano player .
*Increased pay if candidate fills organist role as well. Special Music - Organize and enlist church members to offer vocal and instrumental pieces to the Glory of God in our worship services. Qualifications Be a Christian, saved by grace through faith, who is willing to proclaim the good news of God’s love, grace, and forgiveness in word and deed Ideally have a working knowledge of the Lutheran worship services to facilitate the selection of music appropriate to the liturgical season A bachelor's degree in music is ideal, though considerable experience performing and leading in churches would suffice Demonstrate the ability to effectively sight-read music Possess an appreciation for and experience with traditional and contemporary music styles Possess strong communication skills and be able to effectively teach musical concepts and vocal techniques Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail Possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team Pass the requisite background check Pay and Benefits Remuneration will be as a part-time position based on 15-20 hours per week at a pay rate determined by skills and experience.
