Overview
The Montefiore Einstein Center for Transplantation and the Division of Hepatology/Department of Medicine is seeking a Hepatologist for a full-time academic faculty position. Join a collegial team of 7 Hepatologists and a professional support staff comprised of NPs and PAs, RNs and Administrators. The applicant should have formal Fellowship training in GI/Hepatology from an approved program (or equivalent), be Board Eligible or Certified in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology and have at least 2 years post Fellowship experience. The applicant will have demonstrated academic excellence, knowledge of UNOS and CMS regulations, and care of patients with liver disease. Depending on experience and academic background, the candidate may be eligible for Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The candidate may be eligible for additional leadership roles depending on interests and skills (Transplant Oncology is an example of a potential leadership role).
Responsibilities and Work Details
Participation in the call rotations (6 weekends per year) is required.
Endoscopy is available, if desired.
Join a large liver disease practice, including liver transplantation and liver cancer programs, with a multidisciplinary clinical practice under a single administrative structure.

The liver transplant program includes active adult and pediatric liver transplantation, including live donor transplants, and a translational research environment at the Marion Bessin Liver Research Center.
NIH recognized Cancer Center integrated with the liver disease/transplant program for liver cancer care.
Qualifications
Formal Fellowship training in Gastroenterology/Hepatology from an approved program (or equivalent).
Board Eligible or Certified in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.
At least 2 years of post-Fellowship experience.
Demonstrated academic excellence and knowledge of UNOS and CMS regulations; experience in care of patients with liver disease.
Compensation and Benefits Salary: $300,000.00–$375,000.00, depending on academic rank. Additional income opportunities with productivity incentives. Benefits include LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision, and a 403(b) plan among other offerings.
