Family Medicine Opportunity in Sac City, Iowa
Step into a full-spectrum primary care practice with built-in volume, as you take over a well-established panel from a retiring physician. With a brand-new outpatient clinic opening in 2025 and strong organizational support, this is a rare opportunity to blend continuity, autonomy, and work-life balance. This Family Medicine role offers inpatient and outpatient flexibility, excellent call support, and a full suite of benefits in a supportive rural community.
Practice Overview
You'll join a collegial team of 3 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider with a dedicated RN or CMA
Employed model at a respected regional clinic drawing from a 12,000-patient service area
Full-spectrum outpatient and inpatient practice with optional ER and office procedures
Call is 1:5 with nurse triage support-only 13 total physician calls logged last year
Schedule
Full-time with flexibility for 4 or 4.5-day workweeks and built-in admin time
Average 18-20 patients per day; first patient at 9am after brief inpatient rounding
Weekend rounding optional, typically 3-4 patients daily during peak months
Dedicated office, 12 exam rooms, and a procedure room in new 9,500 sq ft clinic opening September 2025
Compensation & Benefits
Guaranteed base salary of $260,000 with 100% production option after 12 months
$250,000 local incentive (forgiven over 5 years) + $40,000 sign-on bonus
Residency stipend, relocation assistance, $100,000 retention bonus, student loan support
30 days PTO (after transition to production), 5 days CME + $5,000, 401k with 5% match, full malpractice with tail
Candidate Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine with Iowa license (or eligibility)
J1 and H1 visa sponsorship available; 2025 and 2026 grads welcome
Comfortable with a broad scope of primary care and basic procedures
