Overview
Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute is seeking a hematologist to join our 20-physician medical oncology–hematology faculty practice at Hartford Hospital. The physician will join 3 other hematologists in caring for benign and neoplastic hematology. Hartford Hospital is an 867-bed teaching hospital of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and provides postgraduate education for medical oncology–hematology fellows. The Cancer Institute is the charter member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Alliance, with a shared care model for BMT patients, telemedicine initiatives, data interoperability, and physician education that have advanced autologous, allogeneic, and CAR-T cell transplant care. Through MSK collaboration, we recently opened a new Phase 1 Clinical Trials Unit and emphasize a collaborative approach to cancer care delivery and clinical research. Hartford HealthCare is the most comprehensive, integrated health care system in CT, with seven acute care hospitals statewide. The position will be located at Hartford Hospital, with hematology care coordinated through our system-wide Hematology Disease Management Team to ensure consistent standards of care and support our quality and research programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate hematologist–oncologist to join a team of clinicians and administrators building a new model for cancer care delivery and clinical research. Location: 85 Retreat Ave, HH Cancer Ctr (10069). The role is located at Hartford Hospital, with system-wide collaboration across Hartford HealthCare.
