Overview
Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible fellowship trained Non Invasive Cardiologist to join our well established, hospital employed Heart & Vascular practice. Providers in the practice include Yousef Kaid, MD; Matt Watson, DO; Tarun Nagrani, MD; Jay Hamze, MD; Marion Hochstetler, MD; Jeremiah Martin, MD; Joe Herrmann, DO; Paul Rase, NP; Amy Spencer, NP; Linda Lester, NP; Amanda Williams, NP; Jade Kirkpatrick, NP; Becky Kalb, NP. Opportunity for a fellowship-trained Non Invasive Cardiologist to join SOMC’s Heart & Vascular practice. Compensation
Option #1: Base salary of $590,985 (50th percentile MGMA for those just completing training) with additional compensation for experience, guaranteed for 2 years. Can be switched to a wRVU production contract when exceeding target. Option #2: Base salary of $724,177 (75th percentile MGMA) guaranteed for one year and then switched to a wRVU production contract. 5% less for those not yet boarded; salary adjusted accordingly upon board certification. 2-year contract also includes: Vacation: 29 PTO days; Additional 5 days PTO when producing 75th percentile wRVUs. CME/Books & Journals: 5 days PTO and up to $5,000. Deferred compensation: 457b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $23,500 per year before taxes. No matching. Retirement / Savings Plan: 403b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $23,500 per year before taxes under age 50 and $31,000 for over age 50. SOMC matches dollar for dollar up to 2% of base pay. Moving Expense: $10,000 paid to moving company. Malpractice Insurance Coverage: in a claims made policy, in an amount of $2,000,000 per claim / $6,000,000 aggregate. Health Insurance: physician pays a small premium, deducted from paycheck. Liquidated Damages: 70 mile and 2 year non-compete clause or liquidated damages of one year salary. PRACTICE INFO: Practice Location: Outpatient clinic located on the main campus of the hospital; 1711 27th Street Braunlin Building Suite 206 Portsmouth, OH 45662. Office Hours/Work Schedule: 7a to 6p, Monday through Thursday; Friday 7a to 12 noon. Staffing: 7 Physicians (Interventional, Non-Invasive, CT Surgery, Vascular Surgery); 6 Advanced Practitioners; 11 MOA; 2 EKG Techs; 15 LPN; 5 CMA; 3 Surgery Schedulers; 2 Surgery Assistants. Call Schedule / CERP: 1:3 weekend rotation; 1 night per week rotation; eligible to earn additional compensation by joining the CERP (Pay for Call) Program. Case Load: Outpatient Clinic – 10 per day; Inpatient – based on hospital census; Procedures – 4-6 per day. Equipment: Philips IECG; Welch Allyn EKG; Geneva Remote Monitoring; Device Interrogator/Programmers (Medtronic, St Jude, Boston Scientific, Biotronik); Philips IECG; Philips ISCV Informatics & Cardiovascular Workspace; Philips EPIQ Ultrasound System; Philips ST80i Stress Testing System; Philips Cardiac Monitoring.
