Role:
Learning Experience Designer (LXD) to join the
Flight Operations
team. This role is
Remote (US) . The LXD is responsible for creating engaging, effective, and learner-centered experiences for Wing and its partners. A successful candidate will apply instructional design, learning science, and creativity to develop a wide range of learning solutions. The LXD will collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and multimedia teams to analyze learning needs, design curricula and content, and implement and evaluate learning programs. This role also contributes to Wing’s Flight Operations learning strategy and seeks innovative approaches to education and training. What You’ll Do
Build and establish guidelines and processes for Flight Operations instructional design and development, in collaboration with the Training Lead and the Instructional Technology Lead. Develop and manage project and program plans, including defining scope, goals, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources. Design and develop learning solutions through the creation of eLearning, simulations, and work aids, both independently and as a member of the Training Team. Lead learning projects from inception to deployment, and evaluate effectiveness in partnership with stakeholders. Support quality assurance of training content. Manage learner records and regulatory compliance documentation. Champion innovative and effective learning solutions within Wing. What You’ll Need
Education: Bachelor’s in Instructional Design or related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience (4–6+ years) as a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) or similar role. Experience creating training content in a heavily regulated industry (e.g., aviation, defense, medical). Adaptability to a rapidly evolving, fast-paced environment and ability to develop training for specific technical skills. Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and implementation into learning products for multiple levels of technical expertise. Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative international team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Articulate 360 (preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with LMS administration. Ability to travel 2–3 times domestically per year for training and evaluation events (3–5 days each). The US base salary range for this full-time position is $91,000 – $179,000 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
