Procurement and Logistics Coordinator – Location: Atlanta Warehouse (5 days per week onsite). Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract. Salary: $43,112 - $57,482 per annum. Start Date: Immediate. What the Job is All About

In this pivotal role, you'll be the backbone of our operational supply chain, managing everything from sourcing to purchasing hardware to coordinating complex international freight shipments. You\'ll work cross-functionally with various business units, vendors, and warehouse staff to ensure our equipment is procured, tracked, and delivered efficiently and on time for major sports events. Responsibilities

Procurement

Sourcing and Vendor Management: Source and procure hardware by sending quote requests to vendors based on internal business unit needs.

Maintain and update a database of vendor quotes and information.

Actively research and identify new, cost-effective, and reliable vendors for future projects.

Purchasing and Finance: Create and process Purchase Orders using the SONY SAP system.

Receive, verify, and process invoices for all goods and services.

Onboard new vendors into SONY\'s system to facilitate B2B payments.

Project and Communication: Track the progress of all orders using ClickUp to ensure timely delivery.

Communicate delivery statuses to all relevant business units to keep them informed.

Logistics

Shipment Coordination: Schedule and coordinate LTL freight shipments with various freight forwarders, including FedEx, SOS Global, and Rock-It Global.

Provide tracking information to other business units and clients

Cost Management: Secure competitive pricing for domestic and international deliveries by comparing shipping quotes and helping track all parcel and LTL shipment costs.

Maintain relationships with LTL Freight vendors to ensure the best pricing and safest arrival of Hawkeye equipment

Operational Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure the timely and accurate pick-up and reception of all shipments.

Cost Estimation: Calculate and estimate shipping costs for various methods, including ground and air freight, and account for international taxes, tariffs, and carnets.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with domestic and international laws and SONY\'s internal processes and standards to guarantee successful customs clearance and delivery, particularly for international sports events.

Inventory & Asset Management: Utilize internal software to manage and track the movement of hardware from warehouse inventory to various sports arenas, supporting operations for major leagues such as the NHL, NFL, and MLB.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Experience:

Proven experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management. Familiarity with managing a high volume of orders and shipments is a must.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficiency with

SAP

or similar ERP systems for purchasing and finance. Experience using project management software like

ClickUp

is preferred. Strong computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

Communication & Collaboration:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with vendors, business units, and internal teams.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex logistics challenges, resolve shipping issues, and manage vendor relationships.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulous attention to detail is critical for accurate order processing, invoice verification, and customs documentation to ensure compliance.

Knowledge of Regulations:

A solid understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations, customs procedures, taxes, tariffs, and carnets.

Adaptability:

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
