The College of Pharmacy is looking for an experienced highly motivated and energetic, Content Marketing and Communications Manager who is wants to tell (comms) and sell (marketing) both the creative and technical stories and news of our nationally ranked #2 College of Pharmacy to help recruit prospective students and support philanthropic efforts.
You should apply if you:
have a passion for writing across styles (journalistic, creative, etc) and for different audiences.
enjoy mining for stories, are eager to learn, ask lots of questions, and are curious and collaborative.
think strategically and are comfortable consulting with internal clients on projects.
have experience developing communication plans, lead generation campaigns, and a content strategy across all channels (traditional and digital).
enjoy project management, seeing work through to on-time completion.
are energized by a high volume of work.
Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field.
5+ years of experience generating content for marketing, communications, PR.
Experience writing across a variety of stakeholders: prospective and current students, media, faculty, staff, alumni
Experience creating content for digital marketing, social media platforms, and traditional (print, events)
Experience writing both technical and creatively, including the ability to translate technical topics for general public
Experience developing and executing multi-channel campaigns for recruitment and philanthropic efforts.
Knowledge of healthcare field or pharmacy a plus
Experienced project manager and knowledge of tools such as Asana
Expert in current writing standards
Experience with WordPress and updating/creating web pages, social tools (Sprout Social), email software (Constant Contact) or related tools?
Ability to attend and cover activities and events outside of working hours and on weekends.
Open and willing to take on other duties as assigned
Self-starter coming up with new content ideas, mining for stories, and operational processes, Positive, proactive, service-oriented, collaborative
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Builds positive trusting relationships with team, colleagues and students
Open and adaptable to working with different teams
Willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done
Agency Experience
Attendance at most College events, which can fall outside of normal business hours and on weekends.
Hybrid role: Requiring three days in the office and two days remote/home office.
