Assistant Director, Athletics Live Event Production . This is a full-time (probationary and FLSA-exempt) position which includes full University benefits. The Assistant Director, Athletics Live Event Production is responsible for coordinating the BTN Student U program, as well as supporting the management of live event production, and enhancing the image of The University of Iowa Athletics Department. Benefits Highlights

Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic arts, design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience One (1) year of experience and extensive knowledge and ability to manage live sports broadcasts in an intercollegiate athletics setting, including:

Produce and manage a multiple camera live streaming production crew for an athletic event Direct multiple camera live productions Produce and edit videos, both in studio and on location, utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent - please specify software used) Utilize content management programs to deliver content to social media platforms

Excellent oral and written communication skills Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships; including working collaboratively with other external relations staff on group projects Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with a wide variety of constituents, both internal and external to the university setting A valid U.S. driving license and the ability to meet and maintain University of Iowa Driving Policy standards Ability to move and load 50 pounds. Desired Qualifications

Basic knowledge and understanding of the professionalism and intensity necessary to successfully contribute to a Division I athletics program Experience and working knowledge of video production utilizing professional-grade cameras and editing equipment, including a basic understanding of video routing systems and broadcast studio production Ability to coordinate and stream multiple live events simultaneously One year of supervisory experience Working knowledge of and ability to: utilize Adobe Creative Suite and Ross Systems (or equivalent); troubleshoot basic IT and live video streaming issues; instruct others in basic shooting and editing techniques; experience with online video sharing platforms such as YouTube, Live U; experience with control room audio boards, replay systems, graphics programs, and control room routing Application Process
