Church Vision
Seeking to become disciples transformed by the gospel to make disciples. Grace Redeemer Church (GRC)
Grace Redeemer Church (GRC) is a gospel-centered, kingdom-minded church in Cerritos, California. Planted in 2020 (by Cerritos Mission Church), we are now a growing congregation actively pursuing future affiliation with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). Our Sunday attendance currently averages 40–50 (including adults and children), and we long to be a grace-filled community where people live out the power of the gospel in their everyday lives. Position Overview
We are seeking a ministry leader to oversee two ministries—Youth and Worship—with vision and faithfulness. More importantly, we are looking for someone who desires to grow in a healthy, gospel-centered relationship with God and others. We believe that a vibrant spiritual life is essential for cultivating healthy ministry. This dual-role opportunity is well-suited for someone who is eager to launch an early-stage youth ministry and to build upon our existing worship ministry. The youth ministry will be developed from the ground up, requiring creativity, perseverance, and relational investment. We currently have three youth-aged students and are preparing for future growth. The worship ministry role will involve strengthening an existing foundation to lead Christ-centered worship gatherings. Key Responsibilities
Youth Ministry (7th-12th Grade)
Cast a long-term vision for gospel-centered and kingdom-minded discipleship and spiritual formation of students together with the Senior Pastor. Build relationships with students and their families through relational investment. Lead weekly/seasonal gatherings and fellowship events fostering spiritual growth and Christ-centered friendships. Commit to utilizing gospel-centered curriculum as a core foundation. Help students grow in gospel fluency, service, and mission. Invite students into the broader life of the church through baptism, service, and discipleship. Worship Ministry
Cultivate a Christ-exalting, Spirit-dependent culture of worship. Lead worship for Sunday services and occasional seasonal gatherings (e.g., Good Friday, Christmas). Develop and train volunteers for praise and A/V teams. Coordinate weekly worship plans and Sunday setup with volunteers and staff. Collaborate with the Senior Pastor in planning and aligning the worship ministry with the church’s gospel-centered vision. Qualifications
A clear sense of calling to church ministry. Seminary-bound or equivalent theological education/training (preferred). Strong musical leadership (vocals/instrument) and ability to lead a band. A growing gospel-centered character marked by humility, faithfulness, and a servant-hearted posture. A collaborative spirit that supports the leadership and vision of the church in partnership with the Senior Pastor. Creative, flexible, and unafraid of “trial and error” as youth ministry develops. Aligned with the heart and vision of GRC, including EFCA-oriented statement of faith (GRC statement of faith). Commit to completing church membership and Mentored Sonship discipleship (full scholarship provided). Role Details:
