Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule:
Various shifts (9-10 hours, possibility of 12 hours) including day, evening, and night shifts Responsibilities and Duties
Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages Perform adult and pediatric outpatient care Conduct newborn resuscitations when necessary Manage non-displaced fractures and perform minor orthopedic procedures Suture minor lacerations and perform incision and drainage procedures Evaluate and treat uncomplicated psychiatric cases for adults, children/adolescents, and geriatric patients Diagnose and manage common industrial-related medical problems Establish and maintain airways, managing ventilation for up to 24 hours without pulmonary consultation Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues Insert central and arterial lines Interpret EKGs Perform procedures including arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis Conduct other emergency medicine-related procedures as needed Qualifications / Additional Information
Must be licensed to practice in Michigan Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills essential Benefits
