What You’ll Do

  • Perform psychiatric admission assessments for new clients admitted to the PRTF program within one week of admission to the program.
  • Provide subsequent psychiatric rounds weekly to clients served at the PRTF.
  • Provide on-call coverage to PRTF program as needed, including medication and restrictive intervention orders, and consultation with staff during client crises.
  • Assist Alexander Youth Network in maximizing billing for services provided.
  • Exercise professional judgment in all matters involving the professional relationships and follow the standards of professional care, conduct, and responsibilities applicable to the rendering of professional services. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, etc.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with other departments.
  • Observe clients, record significant conditions and reactions, and relay information regarding the patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.

Education AND Experience

  • M.D. degree.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist.
  • Must have and maintain a current Controlled Substances Registration Certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
  • Must have and maintain a current Physician License and Controlled Substance License from the State.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver\'s license.
