Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, preparing financial reports, and maintaining records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
2. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
3. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
4. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
5. Meet financial accounting objectives.
6. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
7. Prepare and review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
8. Assist with the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
9. Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
3. A minimum of 4 years’ experience, ideally public / private mix
4. Proficiency in NetSuite ERP system.
