🦷 Now Hiring: Dental Hygienist

📍 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Join the Choctaw Nation’s dental team as a Dental Hygienist and make a measurable impact on community health through efficient, high-quality care and education. In this role, you will independently assess patient needs, deliver targeted hygiene treatments, and drive positive long-term oral health outcomes.


Key Performance Objectives

  • Deliver Effective Clinical Care:

Perform prophylaxis, debridement, and root planing procedures to improve and maintain oral health using both hand and ultrasonic instruments.

  • Drive Preventive Health Outcomes:

Identify and document oral and periodontal conditions to guide treatment plans. Apply fluoride, sealants, desensitizers, and other preventive agents to reduce future complications.

  • Educate for Long-Term Impact:

Empower patients through one-on-one instruction on oral hygiene, nutrition, tobacco cessation, and care of dental appliances—tailored to their specific needs.

  • Support Diagnostic Excellence:

Review patient history, radiographs, and clinical data to ensure each visit is comprehensive and aligned with treatment goals.

  • Maintain Clinical Compliance & Efficiency:

Follow all infection control protocols, accurately document procedures, and ensure each patient visit supports clinic productivity and quality standards.


Qualifications & Capabilities

  • Associate degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
  • Active and valid state dental hygiene license
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
  • Skilled in treating patients with periodontal disease
  • Confident working with patients across all age groups
  • Authorized to administer anesthesia and nitrous oxide (where permitted)
  • 🏃‍♀️ Physical Demands

    Light-duty role involving regular sitting, standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 20 lbs). Requires manual dexterity and ability to maintain prolonged clinical posture.
