Job Title: 3rd Shift Process Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 3rd Shift Process Technician to join our team. This position operates from 11:00 PM to 7:15 AM, with every other Saturday required. Initial training will occur on the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM for the first week. The role involves working with Cincinnati presses, ranging from 350 ton to 1950 ton, utilizing materials such as nylon, polypropylene, and Acetal (polyoxymethylene).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with mold setters and material handlers to ensure correct resin placement in each machine.
- Check valve gates for proper placement and troubleshoot any issues with plastic injection machines.
- Ensure correct placement of material, heat, and water.
- Track processes using a step-by-step check sheet for each machine.
- Respond to operational issues such as three consecutive bad parts or ten bad parts detected in an hour.
- Troubleshoot robots that are out of line or not functioning efficiently, escalating programming issues to the robot programmer.
Essential Skills
- Three years of experience as a process technician.
- Three years of experience in plastics.
- Two years of previous experience setting molds.
- Three years of experience starting up plastic injection machines.
- Valid driver's license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in writing processes for machines.
- Proficiency with plastic injection processes and troubleshooting.

Work Environment
Our company is a plastic injection firm located in Grand Rapids, with four main manufacturing facilities within a 2-mile radius. Process technicians are assigned to a specific plant and remain there, not rotating between locations. The work environment is focused on precision and collaboration, utilizing advanced technology and processes to ensure high-quality outputs.

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $66560.00/yr.
There are quarterly bonuses paid out. Cascade has excellent medical benefits. Additional trainings and schooling offerings. Medical benefits start on day one of employment as a direct employee. The employee only yearly deductible is $300 per year and the weekly premiums are pretty low. They start out with two weeks vacation for a year but it is prorated depending on when they start.
