POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Healthy Living Coordinator is responsible for aiding in general administrative duties and program promotion for the Group Exercise classes, including the management of Group exercise schedule and all sub requests.
SALARY RANGE: $25.00 - $28.00/Hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage Group exercise schedule, sub requests, and group exercise schedule changes. Manage administrative duties associate with the group exercise program: track and update instructor certification records, update and proof all group exercise schedules in the facility and on the website, room and equipment upkeep, and program marketing and development. Serve as a point of contact for instructors or members when issues or questions arise. Respond to member/guest comment cards regarding group exercise. Assist in interviewing group exercise instructors. Assist with special events and programs (i.e. Les Mills Launch, Youth Triathlon, Get Fit Obstacle Course, etc). Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, and branch events. Follow policies, procedures, guidelines, and tracking systems set forth by the Mt. Madonna YMCA/CRC. Work cooperatively with and support other departments. Cultivate relationships to support fund raising through the Annual Campaign. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong personal skills in planning, organizing and completing projects with minimum supervision Extraordinary interpersonal communication and the ability to interact well with the public is a must. Strong computer skills are important with excel, word, outlook and publisher. Experience working in multi-cultural communities is preferred.
