Marissa Collections, a high-end boutique in the heart of Naples, is looking for a trustworthy and dependable Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. Responsibilities include managing expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices. Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Open/sort all accounting mail
  • Forward all incoming invoices to inventory department as needed
  • Verify gift cards are drained
  • Process POA documents
  • Pull/file invoices for check run
  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Create and update expense reports
  • Process reimbursement forms
  • Enter financial transactions into internal databases
  • Check spreadsheets for accuracy
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records
  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
  • Review and file payroll documents
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Familiarity with finance regulations
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

Education/Experience

  • Degree in Accounting (or related field) preferred, not required
  • Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
