Operating with a high degree of ownership, you will oversee the largest and most complex joint ventures in the portfolio, serving as the primary finance partner to joint venture boards, senior operational leaders, and external partners. You will be expected to anticipate challenges, navigate complexity, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide matrix leadership to a JV community of practice including project controls, project accounting, JV project teams, and finance managers ensuring consistent standards, aligned priorities, and coordinated delivery across geographies.
  • Serve as the key finance contact for JV boards, partners, and internal senior leadership, in close partnership with regional finance directors.
  • Build strong relationships with geographic financial managers, operational leaders, and corporate functions to resolve complex issues and align on priorities.
  • Conduct a gap analysis of current JV processes versus future vision, develop a business case for change (including resource requirements), and secure senior leadership approval for implementation.
  • Lead process and technology improvements as structured initiatives, with clear milestones and regular SteerCo engagement.
Financial Reporting

  • Oversee EAC/RevRec processes for active JVs, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition.
  • Review monthly financial statements for active JVs prepared by the corporate accounting JV team.
  • Direct and review variance analysis, explaining deviations from budget/forecast, driving corrective actions, and sharing results with JV project teams and regional finance managers.
  • Partner with the corporate JV accounting team to prepare reporting that reflects Jacobs' bottom-line impact, considering consolidation method, affiliate project performance, and intercompany eliminations.
  • Manage the JV portfolio as a shadow P&L across BI Americas, providing portfolio reporting to leadership.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes for key JVs, challenging assumptions, securing approvals, and ensuring timely submission of forecasts and supporting materials to geographic financial managers.
  • Partner with operational and finance leaders to ensure budgets and forecasts are realistic, risk-adjusted, and aligned to operational delivery plans.
Joint Venture Governance & Compliance
  • Serve as the accountable lead for JV agreements, amendments, and questionnaires, partnering closely with Legal, Tax, and FM/Ops to establish and share best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with JV governance requirements, including MoM-QoQ reconciliations, SOX controls, partner reporting obligations, and audit readiness.
  • Oversee preparation of financial materials for JV board meetings, ensuring consistent, clear communication of performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Maintain the JV master list, ensuring timely updates to agreements, signatories, and compliance records.
Treasury & Cash Management
  • Direct cash flow analysis and oversee partner distributions and capital calls.
  • Promote best practices in cash collections, AP/AR processes, and DSO/WIP management to optimize working capital.
  • Entity & Project Setup / Change Management
  • Oversee smooth execution of JV set-up and dissolution processes, collaborating with all relevant stakeholders.
Here's What You'll Need

  • Anticipate and resolve complex problems with significant business implications.
