Chief of Gastroenterology
Job Details:
• High-impact leadership position to design, build, and lead a cutting-edge GI program aligned with Vision 2030 goals• Create a dynamic, academic GI division emphasizing research, education, and advanced clinical care• Develop and expand advanced GI services including complex endoscopic procedures, inpatient and outpatient GI care• Recruit, train, and inspire a multidisciplinary team including GI hospitalists, faculty, fellows, and support staff• Serve as a hands-on clinical leader, providing expert consultation and management of complex GI cases• Drive collaboration across specialties, especially in cancer care, leveraging strategic partnerships with Drexel University and The Cleveland Clinic• Ensure consistent endoscopic block time and manage robust referral volumes• Foster workforce development through mentoring, training, and culture-building initiatives• Enhance access and reduce disparities by engaging with underserved communities• Must be Board Certified in Gastroenterology• Must have or be willing to obtain NJ state medical license, BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications• Manageable 1:4 call schedule supported by hospitalists and APPs with occasional weekend call• Open to experienced gastroenterologists only (no new grads)• Leadership experience as chief or medical director preferred• Not open to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), 1099 contract/locums candidates, or those requiring visa sponsorship
Compensation:
