Join a dedicated team of professionals at a well-established Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located in Tallahassee, Florida. With a proud history of 30 years at this facility, you will be part of a team that provides exceptional care for high-risk mothers and critically ill newborns. Our Level-III NICU features 34 beds and attends to around 3,500 annual deliveries, ensuring a collaborative atmosphere with neonatologists, pediatric intensivists, and pediatric hospitalists.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide quality healthcare in a family-centered environment.
- Examine and treat premature and critically ill babies.
- Collaborate with specialty pediatric teams including cardiology, endocrinology, radiology, neurology, and orthopedics.
- Conduct transports from other regional hospitals, staffed with a neonatal nurse and respiratory therapist.
- Manage NNP schedule consisting of 8-hour and 24-hour shifts.
- Supervise and support nursing staff and ancillary services.
- Master's Degree or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current NNP Board Certification (FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications are not accepted).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
- Courtesy and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Florida Nursing License (or a willingness to obtain).
- Current NNP Board Certification is mandatory.
- DEA registration must be obtained prior to start date.
- Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
