Join a prestigious 16-bed Level-III NICU practice located within a renowned hospital in the Charlotte suburb of Gastonia, North Carolina. We are seeking an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to be part of our award-winning healthcare team. Job Responsibilities:- Provide care in our 16-suite, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and provide support in the newborn nursery.
- Work collaboratively with two neonatologists and a team of 5-6 NNPs, ensuring high-quality care for patients.
- Deliver 20 hours of shift coverage per day, with neonatologists available for in-house daytime coverage and backup call from home at night.
- Assist with the hospital's expansion plans, which will include a new labor and delivery service and level 1 newborn nursery in nearby Belmont, NC.
- Participate in a practice that experiences approximately 320 admissions and 1900 births annually.
- Contribute to a team that has received accolades, including being recognized as one of Thomson Reuters Top 100 Hospitals.
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current APRN National Specialty Certification as a Board Certified NNP (no other NP certifications accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of employment experience as NNP (excluding RN experience).
- Strong collaborative skills for working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and complex medical environment.
- Compassionate and excellent communication skills with families and staff.
- Valid North Carolina licensure (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to start.
