JOB SUMMARY (the purpose and general nature of the job):
Assembly of a specific product line machines. Ensure the assigned assembly team has the appropriate people, processes and materials to accomplish the goal.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following: Lead responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Reviews parts list to ensure on time parts and/or missing parts. • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. • Maintains continuity among staff and departments by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities including reading technical publications. • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Oversight and participation in the following tasks: • Position or align components for assembly, manually or using hoists. • Set and verify parts clearances. • Read and interpret assembly blueprints or specifications manual and plan assembly or building operations. • Verify conformance of parts to stock lists or blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers. • Fasten or install fixtures or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools or power tools. • Rework, repair or replace damaged parts or assemblies. • Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, or conformance to customer specifications. • Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems. • Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. • In absence of Operations Manager- System Assembly, ensures that the operation continues as it is self-directed. Ensures that the minimum staff is maintained in event of report-offs or will contact supervisor for direction to ensure safety of all staff.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience: High School Equivalency (required), AAS in engineering (electrical/mechanical)/auto mechanics (preferred) and 5+ years of experience high speed precision assembly and service. • Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, high speed precision machinery and tight-tolerance dynamics. • Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their application • Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment: • Work schedule generally consists of 40-55 hours per week which may include overtime, on-call status, evenings, and/or weekends. • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, standing and handling of materials.
