Transmission Engineer - Transmission & Distribution

Key Responsibilities: Perform and lead all engineering tasks related to high-voltage overhead transmission line design, including PLS-CADD modeling, line routing, structure analysis, loading trees, design criteria development, sag-tension calculations, wire blowout and swing angle analysis, damper recommendations, structure spotting, clearance reports, and wire selection. Prepare construction specifications for hardware and materials, including structure design and hardware selection, and provide field installation supervision. Develop construction drawings and cost estimates for high-voltage overhead transmission lines (69kV–500kV). Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff; potential to grow into a leadership role as the primary interface with clients. Perform quality reviews and act as a technical lead on projects. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program is required; EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure strongly preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in routing and design of high-voltage overhead transmission lines (Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience). Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills. Experience with PLS software (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE) preferred.
