Job Overview Fairview is looking for a Housekeeping Aide for St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This is a casual position with a flexible schedule where you pick up shifts as needed. This position is not benefit eligible. Provide patients, visitors, and staff a clean and safe environment. Schedule Shifts Available: 7:00am - 3:30pm 3:00pm - 11:30pm 11:00pm - 7:30am Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of, and aligns with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
• Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, positive and efficient outcomes
• Cleans all occupied rooms daily to provide a clean, sanitary environment to the patients
• Prepares discharge units and/or surgical procedure and completes end of day cleaning in surgical procedure rooms
• Maintains and clean and attractive areas including: maintaining of hard surface and carpeted flooring, cleans offices and public areas, collects and disposes of refuse.
• Cleans up after emergency spills and breakages to prevent exposure to substances that could be safety hazards in a timely manner
• Maintains and performs special work assignments and reports to supervisor upon completion to align with quality and frequency standards in department policy and procedure manual
• Understands the security requirements of medications and IV solutions
• Restocks paper supplies upon daily cleaning of area to ensure they are adequately filled and maintains linen distribution system to provide user areas with adequate amounts of linen to give patient care
• Mixes, uses supplies and maintains equipment to aid in cost containment and safety
