Senior Software Engineer, AI
Location: Remote or Austin
Our Story 💡
At Titan Intake, we are united by a mission our founders experienced firsthand: the complexity and chaos of referral and intake workflows in healthcare. Whether as patients, operators, physicians, or technologists, we’ve lived the pain of broken access and inefficient coordination
What began as a purpose-built referral automation product has evolved into a full-stack AI-native SaaS platform designed to streamline patient access across health systems of all sizes. From independent surgical specialists to enterprise-scale networks, our goal is to help the helpers: enabling access teams to move faster, reduce delays, and deliver better care.
Titan is a mission-driven, AI-native SaaS company building the next generation of enterprise patient intake and document management solutions for healthcare. Our platform is cloud-native and LLM-first, leveraging the latest in AI to automate and streamline patient workflows.
Titan is pioneering an LLM-first architecture in the healthcare SaaS space, and we’re seeking a Senior Full Stack LLM Developer to drive the development of our AI-powered intake and automation systems. This role blends machine learning, MLOps, and full-stack engineering, ideal for someone passionate about building intelligent applications focused on healthcare document processing and automation.
Who You Are
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Developer with a strong focus on MLOps and LLM integration. The ideal candidate has a background in Engineering or related Scientific fields, with deep expertise in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing, particularly with Large Language Models (LLMs) in production environments. In this role, you will design, build, and improve intuitive tools that allow healthcare organizations to improve all of their document processing pipelines to accelerate patient care. If you are excited about improving healthcare operations with recent advances in AI, we'd love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and deploy configurable AI-based document classification systems, specifically tailored to healthcare data.
- Build robust AI-driven solutions for extracting structured data from unstructured medical documents.
- Design and implement agentic workflows leveraging the latest foundational large language models.
- Establish robust MLOps pipelines.
- Perform prompt engineering.
- Fine-tune foundational AI models to enhance the performance of our services.
- Implement feedback loops and continuous improvement processes based on production data.
- Integrate AI capabilities seamlessly into the full-stack environment using Python and TypeScript.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and maintain high security for sensitive patient data.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and healthcare experts to align AI solutions with business needs.
Must-Haves
- Experience working in a startup, especially a digital health, health tech, or SaaS startup.
- Proven experience designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, and improving AI-powered services hosted in the Cloud.
- Proficiency in Python (ML pipelines, AI integration) and TypeScript (application integration).
- Deep experience with MLOps and proficiency using tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, or equivalent.
- Deep experience with designing, deploying, and maintaining MLOps and Eval pipelines in production environments.
- Demonstrated success in prompt engineering and fine-tuning large language models.
- Familiarity with frameworks for creating AI workflows and AI agents (e.g., LangGraph & LangChain, CrewAI, n8n, and similar).
- Experience ensuring robust HIPAA compliance and data security measures.
- Experience with cloud AI services (AWS SageMaker AI, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI).
- Strong analytical thinking and a solid foundation in mathematics (calculus, linear algebra, statistics, probability, and optimization).
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, creativity, and comfort with open-ended AI problems.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration capabilities, especially cross-functionally.
- Master’s or PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in AI, NLP, ML, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience with multi-agent systems or LLM orchestration frameworks (CrewAI, LangGraph).
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation integrations (platforms like UI Path)
- Knowledge of healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7) and medical terminology.
- Contributions to open-source projects or publications in NLP/ML.
- Experience capturing and utilizing human-in-the-loop feedback.
- Prior healthcare or regulated-industry AI deployment experience (FHIR, medical terminology).
