Massa Multimedia Architecture (MMA) is a multi-sector architectural firm with a strong presence in retail, mixed-use development, commercial markets, healthcare, and education (Pre-K through Higher Ed). We are actively seeking a Project Architect / Project Manager with a solid background in retail and commercial architecture to support and lead projects across our growing national retail portfolio. This role requires a versatile professional skilled in production, project management, and design execution. A dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is client-driven, and passionate about shaping retail spaces across the country. This role will focus exclusively on our retail portfolio – from big-box to national rollouts and specialty concepts. You’ll be managing both local and national projects, contributing to every phase from conceptual design through construction. Leading the architectural design, documentation, and delivery of retail projects Managing schedules, budgets, and production teams Interfacing with clients, consultants, contractors, and permitting agencies Overseeing site surveys, design coordination, and construction administration Mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices in retail design Maintaining a high level of quality control and assurance across deliverables You are a seasoned and self-motivated architectural professional who can own a project from kickoff to closeout. You thrive in leadership roles, communicate effectively, and understand the nuances of retail client needs. 10+ years of architectural experience with a strong background in retail projects ~ Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD ~ Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; architectural registration (or in progress) ~ Experience managing teams and overseeing full project lifecycles ~ Willingness to travel for site surveys and project oversight Why Join MMA’s Retail Team?
