The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation to closure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects with a focus on quality, and safety, ensuring timely completion of projects within budget, while maintaining IronShore's positive reputation in the construction industry.
Duties and Responsibilities, But not limited to:
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Prepare a budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements.
- Track project costs in order to meet the budget.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Manage project risks and ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are followed.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
- Measure and communicate project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and maintain the schedule of values and invoicing for job progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction, business, or related field preferred; or a high school diploma with 4-6 years of PM experience in construction/roofing or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
- Excellent analytical skills and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Valid driver's license.
- PMP certification is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Normal office conditions with moderate noise level from office machines.
- Site visits to construction sites and factory floors are often necessary for this role, but it is important to note that these environments can be noisy, dusty, and dirty. There may also be occasional hazards present that require appropriate safety measures and precautions to be taken.
- May involve frequent travel.
- May be exposed to weather conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat.
- Work under stress and pressure to meet deadlines, which may require overtime.
Physical Requirements
- Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computers, adding machines, and routine paperwork.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb a ladder.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
