What You’ll DoAs an Architectural CAD/Revit Drafter II, you’ll:
- Create Detailed Designs: Use CAD and BIM software to produce full-scale, detailed architectural designs based on the Design Director’s schematics.
- Ensure Compliance: Study building codes and regulations to ensure designs meet all requirements.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Organize and integrate structural, electrical, and mechanical designs into cohesive plans.
- Draft Plans: Develop plans for right-of-way (ROW) work, grading, buildings, and structures based on input from engineers and design professionals.
- Conduct Site Visits: Gather data from job sites to inform and refine your designs.
- Coordinate with Officials: Interact with city and county officials to address permit plan-check comments and clarifications.
- Problem-Solve: Identify design flaws and make revisions as needed.
- Support the Team: Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to the success of the team.
We’re seeking a skilled drafter who brings:
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in REVIT, CAD, and other architectural drafting tools.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A knack for identifying and resolving design challenges.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to drafting and design.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Drafting or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 3 years of related drafting experience.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Capability to navigate construction sites as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
